App: Nearby Driver Alert

1. Overview
Nearby Driver Alert ("the App", "we", "us") helps groups of known drivers detect when fellow drivers come within a configurable distance so they can exchange vehicles or shifts. This page explains what information the App collects, how it is used, and how you can contact the developer.
2. Information We Collect
- Driver details: taxi number, mobile number, and an optional mnemonic entered by the user for identification within a group.
- Unique Group ID: a randomly generated key that is shared among group members to allow them to see each other.
- Location data: the App requires access to your device's location to detect nearby drivers in your group. Location is used only for proximity detection between group members and shall be channeled through our remote servers.
3. How We Use Information
We use the information only to:
- Display other drivers in your shared group.
- Trigger alerts when a driver enters the user-configured proximity radius.
- Show the taxi number, mobile number and mnemonic to group members to facilitate vehicle/shift exchange.
4. What We Do Not Collect
We do not collect email addresses, passwords, payment information, or any sensitive personal data. The App does not require sign-up with an email or social login.
5. Data Storage & Sharing
All data is stored locally on the user's device and/or exchanged only with other devices along with a driver's lat/long continuously that share the same Group ID. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for advertising or analytics.
Remember if you are "off duty" or remove our app, then all of your data shall be purged from our server memory and we do not save any of data in disk or database or any permanent storage.
6. Ads
The App does not display or serve advertisements.
7. Security
We implement reasonable measures to keep data on the device safe. No system is completely secure; users should avoid installing untrusted apps on the same device and keep their OS updated.
8. Children
This App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. When we do, we will update the Effective Date above and display a notice inside the App where feasible.
